In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Mr. Yazami considered that this tribute, which constitutes a source of pride for Morocco, is “a recognition of the advances he has made in lithium-ion batteries at the age of 26.”
On the other hand, Morocco’s determination to build a Gigafactory augurs a promising future for the Kingdom in the field of renewable energies, he stressed.
Dubbed the father of the battery, Mr. Yazami called for taking an interest in scientific research and introducing generations of technicians, researchers and engineers to renewable energy technology, noting that the field of battery manufacturing will have a significant impact on preserving the environment, thanks to decarbonization.
The Moroccan is the first inventor of the graphite anode. He also invented a technique capable of recharging the batteries of electronic devices and electric cars in record time. Thus, he has to his credit more than 200 inventions, with more than 250 published scientific researches.
The IGCF 2024, which is being held over two days under the theme “agile governments: innovative communication”, will feature constructive meetings and dialogues and workshops focusing on the role of government communication in economic resilience, its impact on adventure tourism and the opportunities in the sector.
