Christiana Barsoni Archidacono, CEO of Hungarian firm BAC Consulting, has found herself in the spotlight after her company was linked to pagers used in attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.
The devices are said to have killed 37 people and injured more than 3,000. After the incident, Christiana disappeared from public view, and her mother, Beatrix Barsoni Archidacono, said her daughter had received threats and was being protected by Hungarian intelligence in a safe place.
However, Hungarian security services have denied these claims, noting that Kristiana has no right to a defense and has been questioned several times since the investigation began. In an official statement, the service confirmed that the pagers were not located in Hungary and that no Hungarian company was involved in their production or modification.
Cristiana Barsoni Archidacono herself has not appeared in public since the attack, and her company BAC Consulting was licensed to use their pagers, according to Taiwanese company Gold Apollo. However, Gold Apollo indicated that the Hungarian company was responsible for manufacturing the devices.
Christiana’s mother insists her daughter was not involved in the pager plot, claiming she was merely a middleman and the devices did not pass through Hungary. However, Christiana’s exact location and the extent of her involvement remain in question as controversy over her protection by the Hungarian government continues.
Earlier, Cursor reported that immediately after the “pager jihad” in Lebanon, the owner of the Hungarian company disappeared without a trace.
