In the canton of Zurich, votes were cast in the municipalities. Important decisions listed in alphabetical order.
Birmensdorf
Defeat for FC Birmensdorf – not on the football field – but at the polls: A loan of 3.7 million francs for a new artificial turf was rejected by 57 percent of the votes. This is surprising because all parties supported the project.
Bubikon
The water supply can be transformed into a stock corporation. Eight municipalities of the Zurich Oberland group water supply have accepted the new legal form. The water supply remains fully in the hands of the participating municipalities. The Zurich Oberland group water supply includes municipalities such as Bubikon, Dürnten, Hinwil, Hombrechtikon, Rüti, and Wetzikon.

Dübendorf
The population agrees to regular patrols by the SIP. Around 69 percent of eligible voters support the transition of a pilot project to regular operation. The SIP patrols (Security, Intervention, Prevention) monitor school areas and the Stettbach train station. They resolve conflicts and intervene in cases of littering.
Elsau
The municipality approves a new sewage pipeline to Winterthur. This connection costs nearly 8 million francs.
Herrliberg
The secondary school building Breiti can be renovated for 5.7 million francs. 82 percent of eligible voters approved the loan.
Laufen-Uhwiesen
On the grounds of the secondary school Uhwiesen, a new gymnasium can be built. All participating municipalities have approved a loan of 14.8 million francs. The new hall will be twice the size of the old one and will accommodate 700 students.
Oberweningen
The electorate clearly rejects the construction of a new asylum shelter. The proportion of no votes is nearly 60 percent.
Opfikon
The Mettlen school facility can be renovated and expanded for just over 48 million francs. About 70 percent approve the proposal.

Regensdorf
Four historic buildings were to be converted into a cultural center with a museum. However, the voters reject both variants – with a two-thirds majority. The main variant would have cost 9.6 million francs. The alternative would have been 4 million francs cheaper. The buildings include the second oldest chapel in the canton of Zurich, dating from 1220.
Volketswil
73 percent of the electorate have approved the merger of the school board and the municipality. The municipality of Volketswil will thus become a unified municipality – the political municipality will also take over educational responsibilities.
Winterthur
The waste incineration plant KVA can be renewed for 300 million. 87 percent of eligible voters accept the record loan. Never before has Winterthur voted on a higher amount.
