The Air Force C-17 Globemaster will arrive at 1.30 am for the Ukraine rescue mission. About 200 Indian nationals will be flown to India on C-17s. The Air Force’s first rescue mission took off from Romania. Two C-17s bound for Poland and Hungary will arrive at 8 p.m. In the next 24 hours, 15 rescue missions will be in service.

The rescue operation was carried out by an Air Force aircraft as part of Operation Ganga. The plane took off from Hinden Airport at 4am on the last two days. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also arrived in Romania to expedite the evacuation process.
