World Cup theme song ‘Heavy Is the Crown’ revealed
Music video and sound source released at midnight on the 25th
The world-famous rock band Linkin Park, returning after seven years, will sing the theme song for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds).
Riot Games announced on the 23rd that it selected Linkin Park’s ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ as the 2024 World Championship theme song.
Linkin Park is a famous rock band that has achieved record-breaking results on charts in the United States and other countries since its formation in 1996. They have sold over 100 million copies of their albums, including “Numb,” “In the End,” and “Faint,” and have won two Grammy Awards.
After vocalist Chester Burnington passed away in 2017, the group went on hiatus, but recently resumed activities with the addition of new vocalist Emily Armstrong. Along with the news of their resumption, they released a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” and will also be holding a concert in Korea on the 28th at the Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon, for the first time in 13 years.

Meanwhile, this year’s World Championship will be held in Europe, including Germany, France, and the UK. The play-in stage will begin on the 25th, and the finals will be held at The O2 in the UK on November 2nd.
