TRENTO. From the sports facilities for the Olympics and Paralympics to the Cavalese hospital, including all the interventions to strengthen and secure the network of connections, both in view of the great 2026 Olympic event and the future attractiveness of the territory. The topic of public works in Val di Fiemme and in the Avisio valleys was at the center of the meeting of the Provincial Council of Trentino in Predazzo.
The President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti he made his debut right from the hospital hub, speaking of a “path of sharing that continues under the administrative and formal aspects: I therefore hope – he specified – that this sharing can lead to a definitive decision agreed with the territory”. Naturally, great attention also to the chapter dedicated to interventions for sports and hospitality facilities with which we are preparing for 2026.
“The Olympics and Paralympics are an investment for Trentino, which our province has also obtained thanks to what Val di Fiemme has demonstrated in the organization of all the events and competitions in the winter disciplines” added Fugatti, mentioning the investments agreed with the State, the Fondazione Milano Cortina and the territories.
“For the redevelopment of the Alpine School of the Guardia di Finanza in Predazzo – the president said – where there will be reception areas for athletes, the various intervention lots are proceeding for a total of 50 million, while for the ski jumping facility, also in Predazzo, investments are underway for a total of 38 million. In addition to these works, investments planned in recent years, for about 40 million euros, on roads and cycle paths, with a view to improving the network of connections”.
Also mentioned in this regard is the construction of a new roundabout in Cavalese (amount of one million euros) at the intersection of state road 48, via Pizzegoda, via Rossini and via Lagorai. Fugatti then recalled how “this amount of important resources is used for works that will last over time. We must therefore see them in a perspective of future vision, sustainability, positive legacy and maintenance of the attractive and sporting capacity of these territories”.
