Kotarski was crucial as he saved a penalty in the 3rd minute, while goals came from Schwab (24′), Murgk (54′), Tyson (60′), and Chalov (89′). The Double-Headed Eagle continues to lead the standings.
PAOK returned to winning ways after the draw in the derby against Panathinaikos. The Double-Headed Eagle defeated Volos 4-1 at the Panthessaliko Stadium in the 5th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League, and with 13 points, continues to stand at the top. The Thessalians remain on three points.
Kotarski was phenomenal, saving a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game, with Schwab opening the scoring from the spot in the 24th minute. In the 35th minute, Ferrari was sent off for Volos with a second yellow card.
In the 54th minute, Murgk scored to make it 2-0 for PAOK, with Volos quickly reducing the deficit to 2-1 in the 56th minute with a header from Mendieta. Tyson made it 3-1 in the 60th minute, and Chalov scored his first goal in the 89th minute following a mistake by Kovacs.
PAOK now turns its attention to Galatasaray, as they will face the Turkish team away on Wednesday (25/9, 22:00) for the League Phase of the Europa League.

The Match
The game started quickly from the first minutes. Just in the first minute, Konté failed to beat Kotarski from close range, while Glavcic then shot into bodies. However, in the same phase, the referee pointed to the spot for a foul by Kamara on Altman.
