Apple recently sent out invitations to journalists for an announcement event to be held next Tuesday, March 8, at 8:00 PM Israel time.
As usual, Apple does not reveal in the official order what it is about to reveal, and is satisfied with a teaser on the order. This time, the teaser line is “Peek performance”, that is, “record performance”. If there are no special surprises, the company is expected to unveil a number of devices including its next discounted iPhone, the iPhone SE. The third generation of discounted devices is expected to look like the current generation, i.e., a chunky frame and home button with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, but the upgrade will come in the form of a new A processor – an A15 processor, which also includes a new 5G modem. According to reports, this will be the company’s cheapest device, or as it will probably program it on stage – “this is the most accessible iPhone we have produced”. We do not know how cheap it will be, but the cheapest model in the previous generation sold for 1,900 NIS.
Apple will probably also announce a new iPad Air – with innovations mainly in the field of CPU and 5G modem and possibly a camera that will support the interesting Center Stage feature, which allows you to move relatively freely and still be in the center of the video call.
According to reports, we are also expected to see at least one new Mac with Apple’s home processor M frame. It could be a Mac Mini with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors that will replace previous Intel editions or a 13-inch Pro bottle with a new processor – M2 – the next generation of the company’s successful M1 processor from last year. Of course if Apple announces an M2 processor at the event – it will reveal the full details about it – but at the moment at least estimates are that it will include a GPU with 9 and 10 cores – compared to the 7 and 8 cores of the existing processor; As well as upgrades quickly and energy-efficiently.
