The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, inaugurated today, Sunday, the high-level event to implement the Arab Strategy for Volunteer Work and the Plan to Support the Rights of Persons with Disabilities during Epidemics and Crises, which was held in the capital, Tripoli, organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
According to what was reported platform “Our official government,” Dabaiba stressed in his speech, “Libya was and will remain at the forefront of countries supporting humanitarian and social issues, most notably volunteer work and supporting the rights of people with disabilities.”
He stressed “the importance of moving forward in implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, and strengthening social protection programmes to ensure stability and development in the region, while committing to achieving reconstruction development.”
Dabaiba also referred to “the government’s full commitment to its role in promoting comprehensive social development and supporting civil society institutions, especially those concerned with the rights of persons with disabilities, praising the achievements made by the Ministry of Social Affairs in this field.”
At the end of his speech, Dabaiba expressed his aspiration to enhance fruitful cooperation and joint work between Arab and Islamic countries, to achieve the advancement of the nation.
The opening was attended by Deputy Presidential Council Member Musa Al-Koni, Deputy Supreme Council of State Member Masoud Obaid, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, in addition to Arab Ministers of Social Affairs and a number of representatives of international organizations.
