A 27-year-old Italian man was arrested by the police on Sunday morning after he attacked two nurses and a doctor at the Santa Maria della Scaletta hospital in Imola, Bologna. The man did not want his partner, a 24-year-old, to be subjected to compulsory medical treatment: when she was admitted to the hospital, the 27-year-old attacked two nurses and a doctor in the emergency room, causing them injuries that were judged to heal in one to five days. He also barricaded himself in a medical office.
