Go Siyaha Program: Launch of the first subsidies to boost tourist activities
Rabat – The Go Siyaha program, launched by the Public-Private Committee (CPP), has awarded its first subsidies to twelve new tourism projects spread across Morocco, in order to strengthen tourist animation.
These varied projects include structures for animation around water sports, ecotourism lodges with activities such as surfing and yoga, as well as unusual accommodation initiatives and sports activities, indicates the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy in a press release.
Before their submission to the CPP, the projects were subject to an assessment ensuring their viability and their adequacy with the specific needs of each region, in accordance with the 2023-2026 Tourism Roadmap, the same source said.
The Go Siyaha program, which aims to support 1,700 tourism businesses by 2026 with a total investment of 720 million dirhams (MDH), should reach cruising speed in the coming months, according to the ministry.
The Public-Private Committee was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy (MTAESS), the Ministry Delegate for the Budget and Maroc PME, as well as the President of the National Tourism Confederation, Hamid Bentahar and the President of the National Federation of the Hotel Industry, Lahcen Zelmat.
