In the month of July, the campaign jointly organized by Tomas Skujiņš and the Latvian company “Printful” attracted a lot of attention. In it, every cycling fan was invited to buy specially designed T-shirts and caps in honor of Skujiņas’ start in his third Olympic Games. The cooperation provided that all profits from the sold shirts and caps were directed to the Latvian Cycling Youth Fund with the aim of supporting the participation of young cyclists in international road races.
It should be noted that Toms Skujiņš also made an additional donation from himself personally for each unit sold. The total donation made to the youth academy reached 3200 euros.
Toms Skujiņš about the implemented promotion: “We must say a big thank you to everyone who participated in the promotion and bought shirts. It’s a great pleasure that there were so many people who wanted to support the young drivers and will now be very recognizable on the streets in the special fan shirts. Our young cyclists deserve support! It is nice to see that after the initiative of the federation and the involvement of the cycling family, this support is collected and the young people will have the opportunity to fully prepare for the biggest competition.
The obtained funds partially financed the participation of the Latvian boys’ and girls’ road cycling team in the international competition in Belgium, as well as support was provided for the junior team’s trip to the UCI level competition in Italy. In addition to that, part of the support will be provided for the 2025 junior and youth national teams’ starts in competitions in Europe.
