Jamui: Matiya village located in the Laxmipur block of the district has now become famous not only in Jamui but in the whole of Bihar as Nature Village. At present, this village has become an example in terms of self-reliance and industrial development. The women of this village have become an example in strengthening their economy. Dozens of women have got employment from the spice processing unit here. Many types of spices of better quality and used in food items are not only prepared here.

Nature Village’s founder cum Zonal Officer Nirbhay Pratap Singh said that the women here were first removed from the business of bidi making and were linked to the business of herbal gulaal making.
