jpnn.comBANDUNG – PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) has announced the results of a temporary investigation into the alleged case of intimidation and violence by officials and players against Bobotoh (the nickname for Persib supporters).
The results of the interim investigation stated that the incident began with provocation allegedly carried out by Bobotoh supporters against the players after the AFC Champions League (ACL) 2 match against Port FC, Thursday (19/9).
“The incident occurred after there was provocative action in the form of rude shouts, hatred, and insults from supporters in the VIP stands directed at several Persib players who were about to enter the tunnel area after the match against Port FC had finished,” wrote the official statement from PT PBB, quoted Monday (23/9/2024).
The release also stated that the provocation by the supporter had resulted in an unstable situation in the VIP balcony area with other supporters who did not provoke the Persib players.
Management claims that in order to avoid further friction between supporters in the stands, the Bobotoh members who carried out the provocation were secured by security and taken to the tunnel area.
“Previously, the steward had also documented the tickets and ID cards of the supporters as data.”
Furthermore, the release also stated that Persib does not tolerate provocative actions by these supporters because they have the potential to cause chaos in the stands and disrupt the safety of other supporters present at the stadium.
“Regarding the alleged intimidation or violence that occurred after the match and the alleged verbal harassment of female Bobotoh, currently the Persib fact-finding team is still conducting an in-depth investigation including collecting data, evidence, clarification with witnesses, and parties suspected of being involved.”
