Ukraine is actively working on a plan that will be a start and a foundation for talking in any format with Russia; three points of the plan are already ready, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“We have stated that we are ready to see Russia at the Second Peace Summit, because all the allies have said that Russia should be at the Second Summit. Because Russia is fighting against Ukraine. There cannot be an end to the war without one of the parties,” Zelensky said at a meeting with journalists on Friday, September 20.
The President added that Ukraine is actively working on the plan, three points have already been prepared. According to Zelensky, meetings were held with representatives of the Russian Federation in an online format, “there will be more meetings offline and online.”
“And, as we said in early November, the entire plan will be ready. This will be the start and foundation for talking in any format with Russia. In any format, with any of its representatives, because there will be a plan and something to show. If they don’t like it, their reaction to the specifics will be clear, and not just in general – we don’t want anything and we will continue the war,” the head of state explained.
At the same time, he believes that today the Russian Federation simply wants to continue the war.
In addition, the President of Ukraine noted that the Kursk operation is part of the second point of the victory plan, the third point is connected with the specific strengthening of Ukraine in relation to weapons.
“Firstly, Ukraine’s unambiguous place in the world security architecture. Secondly, without details, but the Kursk operation is part of the plan, its second point. The third point is related to the specific strengthening of Ukraine in terms of weapons,” Zelensky commented on the steps that make up the victory plan.
The President added that the victory plan includes a point related to the economy. Also, according to Zelensky, the victory plan includes another point related not to the economy, but “to savings in the future.”
“That is, today you are helping us implement this plan, and in the future Ukraine will save you a lot of your resources,” the president explained.
Earlier, “Kursor” reported that the media learned details of the victory plan, as well as the intentions of the Ukrainian president to end the war with Russia in the fall of 2024. One of the reasons for this decision is the dwindling assistance from Western partners.
