India’s Hindu nationalist party ‘Hindu Mahasabha’ has been protesting against the attacks and torture of orthodox religious people in the changing political situation in Bangladesh. Because of that, the leaders of the team have been warning and threatening in various ways since the beginning of the Bangladesh-India series.
But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) continued the series without taking that into account and strengthened the security. Bangladesh-India second Test will start from Friday in Kanpur. After this, the T20 series will begin. The first match of which will be in Gwalior of Madhya Pradesh.
The Hindu Mahasabha has called for ‘Gwalior Bandh’ or strict program on October 6 ahead of the first match of Bangladesh-India T20 series in Gwalior. India-Bangladesh are scheduled to face each other in the first Twenty20 match at the Srimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on this day (October 6).
National Vice President of Hindu Mahasabha Jaibir Bharadwaj on Monday (September 23) opposed the India-Bangladesh match to be held in Gwalior, saying that they do not want the match to be held here against a country that brutally persecutes Hindus. How does India play against them where Hindus are still being oppressed in the country? The game will not be fair here. This match is inappropriate.
So they called for ‘Gwalior bandh’ or strike on the day of the match. However, they also said that daily necessities, medical supplies and urgent matters will be outside the scope of this strike.
Now it is to be seen how the BCCI handles the matter. Do they change the venue or hold the match in Gwalior itself under the supervision of security forces.
