BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council member Barrister Mahabub Uddin Khokon has been given a show cause notice. It is said that he was mourned for taking a motorcycle procession to his parliamentary seat in Noakhali, ignoring the directives of the central BNP.
A show cause letter was sent from BNP central office on Monday (September 23) night.
A source of BNP said that barrister Mahabub Uddin Khokon decorated the motorcycle by disobeying party instructions. A show cause notice has been issued as to why action should not be taken against him.
Mahabub Uddin Khokon was contacted multiple times to inquire about this, but his statement was not received.
Incidentally, in a letter from the party’s central office on September 8, all the central and grassroots leaders were instructed to avoid processions on motorcycles or any other vehicles to avoid suffering. Also instructions are given to refrain activists from displaying posters, banners, festoons.
