Music night October Emotions Organized by the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music, with the support of Vang Son Mot Thuo and Vietnamshow, it will take place at 8:00 p.m. on October 4 at the concert hall of Vietnam National Academy of Music, 77 Hao Nam, Hanoi.
The program is directed by Dr. People’s Artist Quoc Hung as Artistic Director, Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan as General Director, Music Director Son Thach as Music Director, Stage Director Pham Hoang Giang, and Singer Bich Hong as Production Director.
Participating in the performance are many stars and artists from generations of the Vietnam National Academy of Music such as: People’s Artist Quang Tho, People’s Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Meritorious Artist Phuong Uyen. Along with that are singers: Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Tuan Anh, Phuc Tiep, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Vu, Dao To Loan, Bich Hong; Young singers such as: Huong Ly, Huong Diep, Khanh Ly, Manh Hoach, Quang Tu, Ngoc Dinh, Rapper Mezzo, pianists Bui Dang Khanh – Trinh Minh Trang, MC Le Anh and My Lan.

In this year’s program, some students who won prizes in international music competitions will also perform with their teachers. “Cloud Dance Group (VCAT) is in charge of choreography and dancing, designers Cao Minh Tien, Ha Duy, Thach Linh support in terms of performance costumes. All together bring a carefully invested and attractive program.
According to Dr. People’s Artist Quoc Hung – Deputy Director in charge, the highest leader of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, at present, October Emotions is a special art program organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024), welcoming the 68th anniversary and looking forward to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (1956 – 2024).

October Emotions is an important program with great investment from the Vocal Music Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2024. The program is also a continuation of the tradition of the department, performing big music nights to serve art-loving audiences, with the goal of bringing audiences closer to the top music environment of the National Academy of Music, while also helping the National Academy of Music approach the art market, thereby creating a harmony between academic music and audience tastes. In 2023, the art program Golden Autumn has created a buzz and left an impression on the audience, a stepping stone for the Vocal Department to invest more strongly in October feelings
In addition to the general meaning of contributing to the series of special important events of Hanoi on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 68th anniversary towards the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, October Emotions It is also an opportunity for lecturers from many periods and generations to perform together and contribute to a high-quality program.

October Emotional Music Night divided into 4 chapters, with different themes and musical spaces. The first chapter “Thang Long – Hanoi” is classical chamber music works, epic songs that have accompanied the years about Hanoi such as: Hanoi people (Artist Nguyen Dinh Thi), Song of Hanoi (Artist Vu Thanh), Hanoi faith and hope (NS Phan Nhan)… These are songs written by famous musicians who have experienced the war period, recreating the heroic and resilient Hanoi.
This is also the chapter where classical music will come to the audience, songs associated with the heroic history of Hanoi with epic poems, pinnacle works, great artistic values written about Hanoi will be performed through the leading chamber singers of the National Academy of Music and also of the whole country. Classical music is also the strength in training of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Chapter 2 “Hanoi in the old days”, chapter 3 “Hanoi in the seasons of memories” and chapter 4 “Hanoi people’s songs” will bring the audience to a Hanoi with the beauty of the seasons, the beauty of Hanoi, the beauty of Hanoi people. The program gathers most of the famous works written about Hanoi, highlighting a heroic, romantic, and charming image of Hanoi whether in memory or in the present.
Accordingly, come to the program October Emotionsthe audience will enjoy classic pop songs about Hanoi such as: Hanoi windy night (NS Trong Dai), Remembering Hanoi (NS Hoang Hiep), Wandering winter afternoon Hanoi (NS Phu Quang), Hanoi 12 flower seasons (NS Giang Son), Hanoi in the season of falling leaves (Hoang Nhat Minh), Hanoi Xam (Nguyen Quang Long), Hanoi old days (Song Ngoc)… In particular, chapter 4 will be about new, more youthful Hanoi music to reach young audiences, close to the way young people enjoy music today.

Stage Director October Emotions Pham Hoang Giang is known as a director with many successful and emotional programs about Hanoi. Recently, Pham Hoang Giang made an impression when he performed the opening art program “Hanoi Day in Ho Chi Minh City” and “Hanoi Day in Dien Bien”.
Pham Hoang Giang shared that he has done many programs about Hanoi, however, working on Hanoi always brings him and the artists endless sources of emotions, so he is not afraid of becoming old or worn out. According to Pham Hoang Giang, he always wants to convey a gentle, close Hanoi on stage, no matter how heroic or painful the periods are.
