BOLZANO. In the context of the operational activities aimed at combating petty crime, in recent days particular attention has been paid, among others, to Park of Religions, which has become a particularly sensitive target also following some reports from residents in the area.
Yesterday afternoon (September 20) a crew from the State Police “Flying Squad” proceeded to check three individuals who, with harassing attitudes towards passers-by, were consuming alcoholic beverages.
One of them – a 32 year old Moroccan with several previous convictions – in an evidently altered state, was fined for disorderly drunkenness and reported for obscene acts in a public placecontempt of a public official and receiving stolen goods since the beers he was consuming were found to be the proceeds of a Theft committed this morning at Eurospar of Via Claudia Augusta.
Police Chief Paolo Sartori revoked the residence permit and issued a simultaneous expulsion order.
Also in the Park of Religions, a 45-year-old Bangladeshi citizen with a criminal record and an illegal status was stopped for a check: in April last year the police chief had ordered the revocation of his residence permit following a conviction for mistreatment in the family and violation of the ban on leaving the family home. After serving part of his sentence in prison, the man had been released a few days earlier.
The police commissioner issued an expulsion order against him and ordered his detention at the Repatriation Detention Centre in Gorizia.
