What is known about Akhmed Verba from social networks
Werbe was one of the founders of Hezbollah and took part in its first military operations against Israel after the outbreak of the First Lebanon War in 1982.
In 1984, Werbe was arrested by Israeli forces in Lebanon after participating in the bombing of the US and French peacekeeping barracks in Beirut. The sabotage attack was one of the largest in modern history, killing 307 people. It targeted military units involved in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon during the civil war.
After his release, Verbe continued his terrorist activities and became one of the leaders of the ambush on the Israeli special forces “Shayetet 13” in 1997.
He held important positions in Hezbollah’s central training department and was responsible for training fighters in the Radwan Forces, which are considered Hezbollah’s elite unit and play a major role in its military operations.
Werbe was responsible for developing human resources in various Hezbollah units, training new members and developing combat tactics. Following the assassination of commander Wissam al-Tawil, Werbe again took charge of Hezbollah’s Central Training Unit and continued to oversee the operations of the Radwan Forces.
His assassination was a blow to Hezbollah, as Werbe was a key military leader with extensive experience who played an important role in the group’s development and functioning.
