For ten days the heart of the Guatemala City will become the epicenter of more than 100 cultural, artistic and academic activities, all free, as part of the Historic Center Festival in Guatemala 2024The Historic Center Festival is an event that has been celebrated since 1998, the year in which this sector, delimited between Elena Avenue and 12th Avenue, and from 1st to 18th Street in Zone 1, was declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

From its first edition to the present, the festival has been a platform for several artists to share their art with Guatemalans and foreign tourists, as well as being an excellent opportunity to learn about the history of this place, where emblematic buildings are located, such as the National Palace of Culture, the National Library of Guatemala, the Museum of the University of San Carlos, among many others.

The 27th edition of this event will take place from October 3 to 12, 2024, and is made possible thanks to the support of several institutions, including the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, the Municipality of Guatemala, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism —INGUAT—, the contribution of the Cervecería Centro Americana and other institutions.
