In this report, the following major policies were announced: ▲Launch of Pyeongchang Talent Development Scholarship Foundation ▲Youth Reliable Project ▲Creation of a Happy Future City for Children ▲Designation of a Women’s New Job Center ▲Operation of a shuttle bus exclusively for children and youth ▲Expansion of customized public housing for each generation ▲Creation of a forest tourism hub in the southern part of Pyeongchang ▲Designation of Noramdeul comprehensive development and tourist destination ▲Development of Daegwallyeong mountain tourism hub district ▲Pyeongchang Olympic Green Legacy Tour ▲Vitalization of alley-type shopping districts ▲Support for half-price agricultural supplies for foresters ▲Designation of the upper stream of Odaecheon in Jinbu-myeon as a non-point pollution source management area ▲Development of local food products and fostering of new income crops ▲Establishment of an integrated disaster safety situation control center ▲Support for senior citizens’ hair and beauty expenses ▲Strengthening local healthcare services.
In particular, these policies are focused on securing future growth engines for Pyeongchang-gun as well as projects that can provide real benefits to the residents.
Pyeongchang County plans to comprehensively review the feasibility and expected effects of the policies discovered this time and reflect them in the initial budget for 2025. In preparation for the worsening financial conditions and restructuring of expenditures, it plans to accelerate securing national and provincial funds by linking them with public offering projects and national and provincial government tasks.
