It was the Alap-Alap Jokowi (AAJ) volunteers who cleaned up the rubbish after the peaceful campaign declaration in front of the Central Java General Elections Commission (KPU) Office, Tuesday (24/9).
Previously, on Monday (23/9) evening, Jokowi’s Alap-Alap volunteers also cleaned up the rubbish in front of the Central Java KPU Office after the drawing of the candidate pairs’ ballot numbers.
“This is just a spontaneous action from the Alap-Alap Jokowi volunteers who have consistently supported Mr. Luthfi and Gus Yasin in the upcoming Central Java gubernatorial election since the beginning,” said the Coordinator of the Alap-Alap Jokowi Semarang Post, Lilik after carrying out a clean-up action in front of the Central Java KPU.
According to Lilik, the action of cleaning up trash after the peaceful campaign declaration involved dozens of Alap-Alap Jokowi volunteers from Semarang City.
They have prepared large plastic bags from home and collected beverage bottles, food cartons and other trash.
“We don’t care who left the trash, whose supporters. We just want the KPU Office environment after the peaceful campaign declaration event to be clean again. We maintain the cleanliness of Semarang City, and that is also one of Mr. Luthfi’s messages,” said Lilik.
One of the Semarang residents who saw the action also gave praise. According to him, it is time for the campaign to be filled with positive things including carrying out sympathetic actions such as cleaning up trash by supporters of the gubernatorial candidate.
