The Ministry of Environment’s Observatory reports that intermittent rain is expected on Monday, with the possibility of extending until the end of this week, with the days of greatest influence being Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25, when conditions with storm characteristics are expected, due to the proximity of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, under the influence of Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine.

In addition, Tropical Storm John, with sustained winds of 110 km/h, is located near the coast of southern Mexico. This system is currently stationary, and is expected to move northeast towards the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in the coming days, and to be reclassified to hurricane category in the coming hours.

Also, in the Caribbean, the low pressure is considered Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine, which is located near the Grand Cayman Islands, and is moving northwest towards the vicinity of the Yucatan Peninsula, and which could be reclassified as a Tropical Depression during the course of today.

The Threat Observatory constantly monitors the evolution and trajectory of these phenomena to provide timely information to the population.
