A branch manager’s conference was held at Union Bank Plc’s head office in the capital to achieve business targets for the year 2024.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Union Bank was present at the conference on Monday (September 23). Farid Uddin Ahmad. Chairman of Audit Committee Sheikh Zahidul Islam, Chairman of Risk Management Committee were present as special guests. Humayun Kabir, independent director Dr. Shahidul Islam Zahid, Mohammad Saiful Alam, Sharia Supervisory Committee Chairman Professor Mohammad Mujahidul Islam Chowdhury and Member Secretary Mufti Muhammad Muhibbullahil Baki. Bank’s Managing Director ABM Mokammel Haque Chowdhury presided.
The directors urged the branch managers to collect deposits and recover outstanding investments on an urgent basis to overcome the ongoing liquidity crisis.
Chief guest Mu. Farid Uddin Ahmad said to the branch managers that the unique example set by Union Bank PLC in service and business success at home and abroad should be continued. To become the best bank in the country by being more customer friendly, complying with Sharia and gaining the trust of customers.
Bank deposits, investment, foreign trade, expatriate income and various ongoing issues were discussed in detail in the conference. Branch managers are advised to make all-out efforts to achieve the business targets of 2024 through desired service delivery.
