Tollywood hairstylist Tanushree Das became depressed after being fired for protesting and not getting work for three months. He tried to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on his body yesterday. But his daughter saves him at the last moment. Tanushree is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Kolkata.

According to an Indian media, hair stylist Tanushree Das was dismissed from the Hair Dresser Guild three months ago. As a result, he has to take a lot of debt while running the family. After certain time he gets work permit. But he cannot procure outside work himself, said the guild.

In this regard, Tanushree Das said, ‘One after another, work was taken away from me. Mainak Bhowmik’s upcoming movie look set on Sunday. He procured this work. On Saturday, the production manager called and said that the guild had told him not to give the job. Then I contacted the editor of the federation. He said that the guild called and instructed him not to allow it. I lost the same job three times in a row and became disoriented. Sick husband at home, daughter’s education expenses. Paying off debts by working only one shift is not possible at all. This step is from that frustration.’

Hema Munshi, former general secretary of Hair Dressers Guild, is upset about the matter. He said, ‘I have raised the matter several times. Everyone should be allowed to work, I demanded. Even then, I could not imagine that this incident would continue. I handled the responsibility as an editor. Never condoned such behavior. If the mental torture continues like this, I will ask the rest of the members to go against the organization.’

Director Sudeshna Roy, Srijit Mukherjee, actresses Sudipta Chakraborty, Chaiti Ghoshal, Manali Dey, Parambrata Chatterjee and others rushed to the hospital after hearing about Tanushree Das’ suicide attempt.

Apart from the RG tax scandal, Sudipta Chakraborty is very busy with Tollywood. In this regard, he said, ‘According to the hairdressing artist, he was suspended by their guild for three months from July 1 for no reason. After returning to work, he could not work outside. He complained to me. He probably couldn’t contain himself after the loss of Mainak’s job on Sunday.’

Sudipta said with a warning – ‘I can’t accept this injustice. I will see the end of it.’
