CNN invites US election candidates to a second debate!

by times news cr

US Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign announced on Saturday that Harris had accepted an invitation from CNN to participate in a debate on October 23, but former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump declined the invitation.

“Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate,” campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “It is in the same format and format as the CNN debate he attended and claimed to have won in June, when he praised CNN’s moderators, the network’s rules and its ratings.”

For his part, Trump rejected his competitor Harris’s proposal to hold a second debate between them in October, days before they run in the US presidential elections.

“It’s too late for another debate, the voting has started,” Trump said during a campaign rally in North Carolina, referring to early voting that began in three states on Friday.

Since becoming the Democratic nominee, Harris has had only one debate with Trump so far, on September 10.

After that debate, Trump announced that he would not participate in another election debate with Harris, while the latter confirmed that voters had the right to have another debate.

“There will be no third debate!” Trump said on his Truth Social account at the time, referring to his televised debate with President Joe Biden last June, and his debate with the vice president on September 10.

Harris responded to Trump’s comment at a rally in North Carolina, saying she believed American voters deserved another debate.
