Kanpur and Gwalior: Bangladesh cricket team’s tour of India is facing strong opposition in different parts of the country. Protests were held in Kanpur and Gwalior against the ‘atrocities’ being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. Police in Kanpur today registered an FIR against 20 members of the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha who were performing ‘havan’ on the road by blocking traffic in front of Gate No. 10B of Green Park stadium. According to police, tight security arrangements have been made for the VIP guest. Kanpur Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harish Chander said that adequate police force, including senior officers, has been requisitioned. “We are reviewing the security arrangements and we are confident that we will get adequate police force,” he said.

Green Park is divided into three parts
Green Park Stadium and Hotel Land Mark have been divided into sectors, zones and sub-zones and their control has been given to DCP, ADCP and ACP level officers respectively. It has been decided to keep a strict watch on social media platforms. It has also been warned that anyone trying to disturb the peace will be dealt with strictly.

Gwalior Bandh by Hindu Mahasabha

Hindu Mahasabha has called for a bandh in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on October 6 to protest against the India-Bangladesh cricket match. India and Bangladesh are scheduled to play a T20 match in Gwalior on October 6. The organization’s national vice-president Jaiveer Bhardwaj claimed that “atrocities” on Hindus are still going on in Bangladesh and in such a situation it is not right to play cricket with Bangladesh. Hindu Mahasabha has called for ‘Gwalior Bandh’ on the day of the match and said that there will be no restrictions on essential commodities.
