With its furry ears and four legs, Balto, Mali, Yaki and ZeThey were presented as the new dogs of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) to support in the search for drugs and explosive devices.

These are three dogs of the breed Belgian Shepherd Malinois and a Dutch Shepherd, that were integrated into the Canine Unit of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI).
After various tests, the four specimens of 18 months They qualified to join the corporation, so they began their training, which lasted approximately a year, adapted according to their temperament and abilities, explained the SSC.

After demonstrating their agility and discipline, the four puppies joined the ranks of the PBI Starting in September, three of them will be used to support the search for narcotics, and one more will be used to search for explosive devices.
The canines join the security and surveillance tasks carried out by the PBI in places like the Hermanos Rodriguez Racetrack, the GNP Stadium and the National Auditorium, as well as in the Safe Passenger operation carried out permanently in the 17 Modal Transfer Centers (CETRAM).
