Every year, the used car maintenance specialists from Schwacke and Auto Bild determine the so-called Wertmeister, i.e. the assessment of the value of used cars. The cars expected to lose the least value over the next four years are determined. Around 4,000 models from 15 car segments and, for the first time, four classes with electric drive separately, are evaluated.
The models with the best value retention are the Kia Picanto 1.2 Vision in the minicar class and the Dacia Sandero Stepway TCe 110 in the small car class. Mazda 3 e-Skyactiv X 186 M Hybrid stands out in the low middle class, Skoda Superb Combi 2.0 TSI 4×4 in the middle class, BMW 540d xDrive Touring in the higher class.
Mercedes-Benz S 450d 4Matic L is first among luxury cars, Porsche 911 Carrera PDK is the leader among sports, Mercedes V250 d 4Matic holds the price best among vans. Among compact SUVs, Citroën C3 Aircross Hybrid 136ë-DSC6 is the most stable model, as well as BMW X3 20d xDrive for medium SUVs and Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic HSE for large ones.
For electric cars, the small, compact, medium and large SUV segments were evaluated. In the first places are Citroën ë-C3 Aircross, Ford Explorer Dual Electric Extended Range, Polestar 2 Single Engine and Volvo EX90 Twin Motor AWD.
