The match between Atalanta x Como has been postponed. Due to heavy rain falling at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia Stadium in Bergamo on Monday (23), referee Paride Tremolada decided to postpone the match by 24 hours.
Thus, the game, which is valid for the conclusion of the fifth round of the Italian Championship, is rescheduled for this Tuesday (24), keeping the time: 3:45 PM (Brasília time). Before the decision, the referee activated the waiting protocol, returning to the field every 15 minutes to check the condition of the pitch.
The match had been rescheduled for 4:45 PM, but when the captains and the referee returned to the field, they found that the condition of the pitch was still unplayable. Additionally, the rain intensified during this time, creating numerous puddles on the field.
Atalanta is currently in ninth place, with six points after four rounds. Therefore, if they win the rescheduled match, they could move up to five positions in the standings. Como, the newcomer to Serie A, is currently in second to last place. The team coached by Cesc Fàbregas has yet to win in the competition, having only gathered two points.
