The general meeting of Bangladesh Nationalist Students Party was held. Alhaj Rakibul Islam Bakul, Student Affairs Secretary of National Executive Committee of BNP was present in this meeting held under the chairmanship of Rakibul Islam Rakib, President of the Central Chhatra Dal. General Secretary of Central Chhatra Dal Nashir Uddin Nashir presided over the meeting.
The general meeting was held on Wednesday (September 25) at the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital.
BNP Student Affairs Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul said in his speech that Tarek Rahman is the architect of the fascist anti-Hasina movement. Students, workers and masses all participated in the July uprising. No one’s role can be minimized. Remembering with respect the martyrs who were killed including Wasim, Mochad and Abu Saeed. I wish for the forgiveness of all souls. As long as the people’s right to vote and the will to establish democracy are guaranteed, the students must remain vigilant. We all have to be united, only the unity of Bangladeshis can establish the people’s Bangladesh.
At that time, among others, Central Chhatra Dal Senior Vice President Abu Afsan Mohammad Yahya, Senior Joint General Secretary Shyamal Malum, Organizing Secretary Amanullah Aman etc. were also present. At the beginning of the meeting, a minute’s silence was observed in honor of all the martyrs who died in the anti-discrimination student movement.
