President Nayib Bukele spoke at the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), where he stated that in the last five days of his mandate El Salvador has been reborn.
The President indicated that in these 5 years the streets of our country have been returned to our people and we have established a flourishing tourism industry, hosting international surfing, sports and entertainment events.
“Over the past five years, El Salvador has been reborn. We have returned the streets of our country to our people and established a thriving tourism industry, hosting international surfing, sports and entertainment events,” the president said.
Bukele said that El Salvador’s transformation is unparalleled and that its success is undeniable. He also urged that anyone can visit El Salvador and see for themselves.
“Today, the world looks at the example of El Salvador and asks itself: How can a nation rise up so quickly? But maybe that is not the question they should be asking. Maybe they should be asking another question: How is it that the world is falling so fast?” added Nayib Bukele.
