Present at the visit were Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, along with other members, such as Arteria Dahlan, Nazaruddin Dek Gam, Habib Aboe Bakar Al Habsyi, Heru Widodo, I Wayan Sudirta, and Susanto.
Commission III of the DPR questioned the depth of the river in Bekasi and the ownership of sharp weapons (sajam).
Habiburokhman said the teenagers were suspected of going to brawl.
“The patrol from Bekasi City Metro Police, they ran to the back there, it turned out that it was indeed a river with a trough, the trough was 6 meters. The water was swirling, because of the rain we saw that there was a vortex. Maybe that was the cause,” said Habiburokhman at the location, Tuesday (24/9).
Meanwhile, Habib Aboe Bakar Al Habsyi said that as many as 60 people gathered before the incident occurred.
Based on information from the police, sharp weapons were found during a search of the location.
“Indeed, if you see that there were 60 people present, it was horrible from the available photos, yes, it is reasonable. The number of the police was only 9, they were 60. As soon as the incident happened, he did not know that there was a trough there,” said Habib Abo.
