BOLZANO. Last night in Bolzano, police arrested two Syrian brothers, aged 35 and 29, for aggravated home theft.
A citizen in via Dottor Streiter called 112, who had noticed a stranger in the house. The officers who arrived on the scene noticed a man coming out of the entrance: searched, they seized a multipurpose knife and a bag containing several computer devices that had just been removed from the house and returned to the victim.
A “Gazzella” from the Carabinieri Radiomobile Section, called to assist given the delicate nature of the operation, tracked down another accomplice in Via Portici who, after acting as a lookout, had fled, but was stopped a few moments later by the military.
The two men were taken to the police station and identified: they are two brothers of Syrian origin, asylum seekers and in order with their residence permit, with several criminal convictions for property crimes.
The police commissioner of Bolzano Paolo Sartori has ordered the revocation of both of their residence permits with a simultaneous expulsion decree.
