jpnn.comJAKARTA – Customs and Excise supports the empowerment and growth of business actors through the implementation of the UMKM Fair which will be held on 17-19 September 2024.

The UMKM Fair is an UMKM exhibition activity fostered by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), the Customs Export Clinic fostered program, and fostered by event sponsors.

“There are 54 MSME tenants participating in the MSME Fair, consisting of the culinary industry, clothing industry, and handicraft industry sectors,” said Head of the Public Relations and Customs Counseling Sub-Directorate, Budi Prasetiyo.

Budi said that the UMKM Fair is one of the series of peak events of the Customs and Excise Fair (PRBC), which is an annual activity held by Customs and Excise in order to provide education to various levels of society which is packaged in the form of socialization, competitions, and exhibitions held online and offline.

The implementation of PRBC is in collaboration with the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency supported by Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), the International Development Cooperation Fund Institution (LDKPI), PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII), PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI), and PT Geo Dipa Energi.

“The UMKM Fair was also attended by the Mutiara Handycraft Disabled UMKM from Kebumen, namely an UMKM managed by the disabled community under the guidance of Cilacap Customs and Excise and the Customs Gender Mainstreaming Team (PUG),” said Budi.

Budi said that the 2024 UMKM Fair was attended by more than 3,000 visitors, including Customs officers, participants in the Customs and Excise Festival for High School, and the general public.

“The 2024 MSME Fair activity is expected to support the empowerment and development of MSME potential, increase public insight into customs and excise, and increase awareness of fraud in the name of Customs,” concluded Budi. (jpnn)
