The Israeli army announced that in the last three days it struck “more than 2,000 terrorist targets” of “Hezbollah” on the territory of Lebanon, reported France Press.

“Today we carried out several hundred strikes in Lebanon. In the last three days, we have struck more than 2,000 Hezbollah terrorist targets,” Israeli Armed Forces spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told a briefing.

The Israeli military also said it intercepted a drone fired from the east toward Eilat, Israel’s southern port city, and another drone crashed into the port.

Two people were slightly injured, according to the emergency services, writes BTA.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a group of pro-Iranian Iraqi armed groups, claimed responsibility for the drone attack on Eilat. In recent months, the group has issued several communiqués claiming responsibility for launching drones at targets in Israel.

Iraq’s “Hezbollah Brigades” (Kataib Hezbollah, an influential pro-Iranian armed group) called today to increase the number and intensify “operations” against Israel.

“We hope that the Islamic Resistance factions in Iraq that support Palestine and Lebanon will increase the number and scale of their operations and the level of threat to the enemy,” Abu Ali al-Askari, a spokesman for the group, said in a statement.

“The operations in their current form do not correspond to the ambitions of the Resistance and the current phase,” he stressed, referring to the so-called “Axis of Resistance” against Israel, which includes Iran, Iraqi armed groups, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Yemeni Houthis.
