A Flydubai spokesperson said Tuesday that “flights between Dubai and Beirut have been cancelled today and tomorrow due to ongoing developments.” In a statement, Etihad Airways said it had also cancelled its flights to and from Beirut on Tuesday.

Air Arabia also announced on its website the “cancellation of Sharjah-Beirut and Abu Dhabi-Beirut flights on Tuesday.”

Qatar Airways said in a statement to Reuters that “all flights to and from Beirut have been suspended today and tomorrow due to the current situation.”

Egypt’s Cairo News Channel reported yesterday that EgyptAir has decided to cancel its flights to and from the Lebanese capital Beirut starting Tuesday, September 24, in light of the ongoing Israeli strikes on Lebanon.

The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission stated that Jordan has suspended flights operated by Jordanian airlines to Beirut until further notice.

In the latest statistics, Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad announced today, Tuesday, that “the number of victims as a result of the Israeli air strikes has risen to 558 dead and 1,835 wounded, noting that “there are still a large number of remains that the security forces are working to identify.”

Al-Abyad said in a joint press conference with the head of the Syndicate of Private Hospitals in Lebanon, Suleiman Haroun, to inform the public of the most important developments and health figures following the recent Israeli attacks: “The death toll in the Israeli raids has reached 558 by this hour, including 50 children and 94 women, in addition to 1,835 wounded.”

He also pointed out that the number of hospitals that participated in receiving the wounded yesterday reached 54, and 4 paramedics were martyred.

He stressed that “we did not face any problem in directing patients to all hospitals in Lebanon, and all of them cooperated with us to be fully prepared.”

He pointed out that “our responsibility has not ended and we have a difficult stage ahead of us, and our duties are ongoing, and we will remain on the front lines to provide everything our society needs.”

For his part, Haroun stressed that “the times we are currently going through are among the most difficult, and hospitals have proven to be an umbrella for all Lebanese.”

He stressed that “hospitals need financial support, and this is what the Minister of Health is working on, and we pledge to remain on the front lines in the face of the savage enemy.”
