New York: Mr. Akhannouch takes part in a meeting on the Paris Pact for People and the Planet
United Nations (New York) – The head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, took part in a working lunch on the Paris Pact for people and the planet, organized Wednesday at the UN headquarters in New York, at the initiative of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron and the special envoy of the Pact, Macky Sall.
This working meeting was marked by the presence of several heads of state and government, as well as representatives of international financial institutions.
Morocco joined the Paris Pact for People and the Planet initiative in 2023, thus marking its commitment to contribute to the operationalization of this initiative, as part of collective efforts in favor of more inclusive, fairer and more equitable global governance.
Developed at the Paris Summit for a New Global Financial Compact in June 2023, the Paris Pact aims to establish a more effective international solidarity policy that will better support the most vulnerable States in the face of crises and climate transition issues, within the framework of more balanced international governance.
