Keir Starmer was speaking at his party conference when he made an unfortunate slip of the tongue, calling for the return of “sausages” from Gaza.
The British Prime Minister has just praised his “resolute government” ready to face the future, as well as calling for peace in the Middle East and the return of the Israeli hostages taken in the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7 last year.
He will travel to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday and told the conference about the message he will take with him to New York.
“I reiterate my call for restraint and de-escalation on the border between Lebanon and Israel. I reiterate my call on all sides to step back from the brink. I reiterate my call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the return of the sausages – the hostages – and a renewed commitment to a two-state solution: a recognized Palestinian state next to a safe and secure Israel,” he said.

The prime minister quickly corrected himself after the slip, which quickly went viral.
Earlier, Cursor reported that the minister was robbed at the moment when he was talking about crime in Great Britain.
