King Abdullah II of Jordan spoke at the UN General Assembly with sharp criticism of Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that “the scale of violence directed against the civilian population cannot be justified.”

“It is impossible to justify the scale of the atrocities that Israel is committing against citizens in the Gaza Strip,” said King Abdullah of Jordan.
He noted that “Israeli aggression” also affected Judea and Samaria, where at least 700 people died. King Abdullah expressed the opinion that the current situation is unacceptable and requires immediate change. He also condemned Israel’s actions towards Jerusalem, saying the country was violating the status quo, a view supported by some members of the Israeli government.
According to him, Israel must make a choice between living a life based on the values of freedom or continuing its policy of isolation and rejection from the international community.
