The Parliament of Ecuador urged Daniel Noboa to apply to the International Criminal Court the capture of Nicolas Maduro.
It is Tuesday September 24 the plenary session of the National Assembly of Ecuador voted – with 78 votes in favor, to urge the head of the Executive and member of the Assembly of the States Parties to the Rome Statute to request before the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants against Nicolás Maduro, president of Venezuela.
The reason is “in order to ‘prevent the continuation of crimes against humanity’ and ensure the effectiveness of ongoing investigations,” in addition to the “systematic and widespread violations of human rights in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”

The above is based on reports from international organizations such as the Inter-American Commission on Human Rightsthe Organization of American Statesand the Independent Expert Panelwho have documented the alleged violations committed under the Maduro regime.
“These violations include murders, arbitrary imprisonment, torture, rape, political persecution and forced disappearances, all classified as crimes against humanity, in accordance with article 7 of the Rome Statute,” adds the National Assembly in its motion.
This action is added to that of a Argentine Court who ordered the capture of Nicolás Maduro for alleged crimes of against humanity.
