Ahmed Al-Ghazali, Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Libya and the local partner of Energy Capital and Power, stressed the importance of joint cooperation between Libya and Italy in the fields of energy and economics to achieve a qualitative leap in sustainable development for both countries.
This came during his statement following the round table held between Libya and Italy in Rome, which is a prelude to the “Libya Energy and Economy Summit” scheduled to be held in Tripoli in January 2025, which will be organized by Energy Capital and Power.
Al-Ghazali stressed the importance of enhancing investment in the oil, gas and renewable energy sector, encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors, investing in human resources, developing energy infrastructure, and enhancing financial and funding cooperation.
He pointed out the necessity of achieving economic diversification in Libya, not relying on oil as the main source of income, and focusing on innovation and modern technology to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for the Libyan energy sector and economy.
Al-Ghazali pointed out that achieving this requires internal unification and political and social stability in Libya, expressing his hope that the Libya Energy and Economy Summit will enjoy significant participation beyond the current circumstances, and that security, stability, peace and prosperity will spread throughout Libya.
