The Disciplinary Committee considers the Air Defense to be a loser to the Police in the Futsal League

Today, Wednesday, the Disciplinary Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation deemed the Air Defense Club a loser to the police in the Futsal League.

A statement from the Football Association, received by the (INA), stated that “The Disciplinary Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation met today, Wednesday, at the Federation’s headquarters, to discuss the reports of the referees and supervisor of the match between the Police Club and the Air Defense Club, which were received late to the committee within the final round match of the League.” Professional futsal, which was held on (6/28/2024).”
He added, “The match was ended by the international referee (Amr Ahmed) in the 36th minute of the match in the second half, for the following reasons ((In the 36th minute, the referee counted a violation (direct free kick) against the Air Defense Club goalkeeper) Mortada Hamid/number 12) for kicking the opposing team player by using excessive force, and preventing him from having a chance to score a goal. As a result, the red card was shown against the goalkeeper, and the player (Maher Fadel/captain of the air defense team/number 11) hit the international referee’s hand. (Amr Ahmed), and as a result the referee’s whistle fell on the field, and the referee showed the red card in the face of the player (Maher Fadel).”
He continued, “He hit the referee’s arms forcefully, and the red card fell from the referee’s hand onto the field. After that, the rest of the players tried to attack the refereeing crew. At the appropriate time, stadium security personnel intervened and prevented any attack on the refereeing crew. After that, the international referee fired The whistle to end the match, and leave the pitch accompanied by stadium security personnel to the referees’ room. While leaving the pitch, a member of the administrative air defense team (Ahmed Hassan) attempted to prevent the refereeing crew from reaching the room for unknown reasons.”
He pointed out that “the committee decided as follows:
1. The Air Defense Club team was considered a loser (5-0) to the Police Club based on the provisions of Article 8/16 of the Professional Futsal League regulations.
2. Punishing the player (Maher Fadel), captain of the Air Defense team, by depriving him of playing for (one) match, and with a fine of (1,000,000) million Iraqi dinars. The penalty of deprivation will be implemented at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season in accordance with the provisions of Article 7/7/Second/2/B. /1/A-B of the Professional Futsal League regulations.
3. Punishing the administrator (Ahmed Hassan) by depriving him of accompanying the team for (one) match, based on the provisions of Article 7/7/Second/2/B/1/A of the Professional Futsal League regulations.
The decision was issued by consensus and is subject to appeal.
