Directed by Bobby Prasetyo, the film will be shown in cinemas starting October 3 2024.
Kuasa Gelap is claimed to be the first exorcism film in Indonesia.
The film tells the story of Father Rendra (Lukman Sardi) and Father Thomas (Jerome Kurnia) carrying out a Catholic exorcism ritual to exorcise the devil from Kayla (Lea Ciarachel).
Kuasa Gelap presents a true story about how Catholic religious leaders deal with dark forces, which are rarely exposed in Indonesia, with a realistic and gripping approach.
As the main character, Jerome Kurnia, undergoes a test of faith through the character of Father Thomas.
He faces a huge challenge as a priest who performs an exorcism ritual to save a teenage girl from the clutches of evil forces.
