Ottawa: Efforts are being made to reopen a new investigation related to the Kanishka Bombing in Canada. On June 23, 1985, there was a blast in Air India Flight 182 by pro-Khalistan terrorists. 329 people were killed in the terrorist attack. But now a new investigation is being demanded to exonerate Khalistan terrorists. Due to this, Hindu MPs from Justin Trudeau’s party in Canada are angry at their own party. He said that the first two investigations have been conducted which hold Khalistan terrorists responsible for this. Now a demand has been made on the Parliament portal for a fresh investigation which promotes conspiracy theories. Liberal Party of Canada MP Sukh Dhaliwal has sponsored this petition demanding a fresh investigation into the Kanishka Bombing. Before this demand, the second investigation had found that Khalistan terrorists based in Canada had carried out the attack. In the first investigation also it was revealed that Khalistan terrorists were involved in the bomb blasts. However, the demand to reopen the case has been criticized by the victims’ families. The new petition wants to blame the agents of the Indian government for this bomb blast, which the Canadian government has already denied.

What did the MP say?

Chandra Arya said, ’39 years ago Air India Flight 182 was blown up in the air by a bomb planted by Canadian Khalistan extremists. 329 people were killed in this. This is the largest mass murder in Canadian history. The ideology responsible for this terrorist attack is still alive among some people in Canada. Two Canadian public inquiries found Khalistan militants responsible for bombing the plane. Now there is a petition at Parliament Port, demanding a new investigation into the conspiracy theory propagated by Khalistan extremists.

The victim’s families called the petition garbage

Chandra Arya further said, ‘A woman named Rama was killed in the attack, whose husband told the Globe and Mail that this petition is extremely disappointing. It makes old wounds green again. This is all garbage. There is an attempt to gain publicity and support for terrorist activities. Former Supreme Court of Canada judge John C. Major wrote in Air India Flight 182: A Canadian Tragedy, ‘The bombing was carried out by Sikh extremists as a reprisal against the Indian government because of Operation Blue Star.’ His statement refutes the claim that Indian agents were involved in the bomb blast.
