Residents hope that Satpol PP and related officers will consistently enforce the rules.

“We hope it will be consistent, there won’t be any more. Because it’s not a sales area. It makes it dirty too,” said one local resident, Thursday (26/9).

Previously, it was noted that the control of street vendors’ stalls on Boulevard Artha Gading, North Jakarta continued to be carried out by Satpol PP and related officers. Residents’ complaints and local regulations are the basis for enforcement.

Dozens of Satpol PP members together with three pillars in command cars and trucks were combing along Boulevard, Kelapa Gading, on Wednesday 10 July 2024, at around 09.00 WIB.

The street vendors’ pushcarts were also approached. Traders were again reminded about the warning letter prohibiting selling in this area that was given previously.

According to Kelapa Gading District Satpol PP Head Delki Siregar, there were 20 wheelbarrows that were secured and transported to trucks.

A number of residents complained about the presence of street vendors along Boulevard Artha Gading.
