The defensive effort of Kostas Tsimikas has gone viral, with which the Greek international managed to avert danger from Liverpool’s goal in the match against West Ham for the English League Cup.
Arne Slot gave Kostas Tsimikas a starting shirt in another match of this season, with the Greek international playing for 82′, before being replaced by Andrew Robertson.
The Greek international once again made his Dutch coach proud, while a defensive play by the 28-year-old is circulating online, which actually prevented Kilman from scoring for West Ham.
As Kostas Tsimikas lost his balance during the dribble of the English center-back, he immediately turned his body and laid down with his head at Kilman’s feet, managing to disorient him, cut off his shooting angle, and prevent the “Hammers” from reducing the score.
For the record, Liverpool won 5-1 at Anfield and advanced to the 4th round of the competition.
