The Community Police Directorate confirmed, on Thursday, a decrease in drug crimes to 40 percent, while reviewing its strategy for the next three years.
Director of Community Police, Ali Ajami Rasool, told the (INA): “Under the auspices of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the Community Police held its annual conference, in which it reviewed the community police work strategy for three years,” noting that “the conference was held in the presence of the Minister of Interior and ministers.” And the United Nations representation and ambassadors.”
He explained, “The priorities that the conference addressed were the drug phenomenon,” stressing that “drug crime decreased to 40 percent through the cooperation of the agencies and the spread of a culture of awareness and guidance, as well as preventive work.”
