The cultural heritage of Casablanca then took center stage with a celebration of Aïta, this traditional art deeply rooted in the region, offering the audience an authentic and moving performance. The powerful voices and poetic interpretations of Siham El Mesfiouia and Said Senhaji, emblematic figures of Aïta, transported the audience on a journey through time, where each note and each word told a story rich in emotions.
The effervescent atmosphere on the Place was palpable. The spectators, who came from all walks of life, were united by a common love for music and culture. On this occasion, Mohamed Jouahri, general director of SDL Casa Event & Animation, explained in a press statement that this 5th edition of the festival had the mission of diversifying musical genres for spectators, by highlighting artists of various generations.
Stating that this cultural event of music serves as a generational bridge which allows people to discover the entire musical heritage of the country, Mr. Jouahri also indicated that the Wecasablanca Festival 2024 meets the expectations and musical tastes of the Casablancans who came to attend, and this to the two stages of the festival.
This final evening Wecasablanca Festival 2024 not only celebrated the richness of Moroccan cultural heritage, but also recalled the importance of preserving and passing on these traditions to future generations.
